Camera suddenly stopped working?

help! so I have the Nikon Coolpix S220, and today I just put on my freshly charged battery in i lit to take some pictures, and was working very well. Then suddenly, when I pressed the shutter button to take another picture, do not let me. thus I tried pressing the on / off button, zoom out / in hand, everything. Lens are still out and the screen is on and everything. the only thing that doesn't work are buttons … and the battery is fully charged. What should I do? and do u know why he did and what I can do about it? there as a button or a series of buttons that could have pushed for the camera to go on "lock?" thingking only … If you only have experience with cameras, Please. Thanks! ps-I said remove the battery and wait a while before returning puttin in So when I got it, of course, the screen went blank, but the objective was away.
