Olympus C-760 Digital Camera – can not view or open files!?!?
My pictures are not visible in any of my programs for viewing photos. I see the pictures on my camera are also visible as thumbnails on my computer. But I can not open them. I have tried using the image display programs include: Windows Picture Viewer, Irfanview, Nero and Paint. I have also tried to get to the photos using the card reader on my laptop and also with the USB cable supplied with the camera. I also tried to use a different computer, but with the same result. When I try to copy the image to a folder on my computer that says "the parameter is incorrect "The camera is dropped or mishandled recently. Can you help? This is a new problem. I had the camera for a couple of years now.
Sounds like a corrupted memory card. Test the image recovery software, as http://www.photosrecovery.com where you can download a free trial. Child is like the third time today I saw a question like this! In any case, the free trial allows you to see if the software can recover the images or not. If not, you do not have to buy anything. There are other software packages out there and sometimes it even comes with memory card as a bonus.
