Infra Red filter does not work with the Canon 300D?
I bought a red filter 720nm infrastructure for my Canon 300D, however, when I attach the filter ISN my camera nothing t picking up is that I have the lens cap on. Do I have to do something for my camera to make the filter compatible or nothing I can do? Thanks x
You have to use a long exposure to obtain any result of your 300D. It is, however, is still possible. Unfortunately, because of its design and the difference of film, digital sensors are sensitive to visible red light and infrared. Light To counter this, manufacturers of placing a IR filter over the sensor. By combining the filter with the filter and the sensor very soon get through registration. What is recorded is very dark and red in tone. Digital cameras can be modified to remove the built in IR filter, but this prevents the effective use of the camera for conventional photography.
